Rawtus is a Japanese brand founded by Ryuichiro Shimazaki and Hisako Sato, both of whom previously worked as designers for MUJI.
The name Rawtus combines the word "Raw" with the Japanese word "tasu" (meaning "to add"), reflecting the brand's concept of adding new ideas and techniques to raw materials.
