Hermès Vintage Carré “Napoléon” by Philippe Ledoux. First Edition in 1963, Re-edition 1985/Recta. Napoléon beloved bees printed all over the scarf and also woven into the silk. Size: apx 90 cm x 90 cm. Care label gently removed (100% Silk). It comes with box. In very good condition.
The Napoléon Carré pays homage to Napoléon Bonaparte. Five vignettes depict the French emperor in great detail throughout his reign. One of the symbols of the Empire chosen by Napoléon along with the eagle was the bee, symbol of immortality and resurrection.
