Prada FW 2010 Utility Safari Suit - Factory Sample

€295.00

Prada Fall/Winter 2010 Cornflower Blue Belted Utility Safari Suit - Factory Sample.

Sharp notched lapels, dual chest flap pockets, vertical torso panel stitching and a matching fabric belt with a distinctive round buckle. Straight trousers with hidden closure.

This exact utility safari-style suit originally debuted on the Prada Spring/Summer 1996 runway. That collection famously introduced the fashion world to "Ugly Chic" and remains one of the most archive-collected eras in modern fashion history. In this archival piece, the internal production label dates the manufacturing of this specific piece to Autumn/Winter 2010. This jacket and trousers are a prototype reproduction of Prada’s Spring/Summer 1996 collection Utility Safari Suit. The tag of this prototype reproduction reads "PROVE TESSUTI D” (Fabric Trials), so this precise item is an internal factory development piece.

Finding an archival testing garment like this is extremely rare. This is a physical piece of Prada runway history AND a rare internal factory sample.
